As mentioned in the title, whenever I clip with medal (doesn't matter what game), my ping instantly spikes up, like it would be already uploading it. However, I'm not using the medal cloud, or anything like that.

Are you using auto upload? If so please disable it and see if this helps.
Yes,turning off the overlay doesn't change a thing. Can the admin explain me why does medal use network if I clip? I realised when I clip, after that my network usage spikes up,medal uses 99% of it. I mean,I know my ISP is trash, but come on,I want to clip my games, not to upload them right away, ALTHOUGH cloud is disabled...

I have the exact same issue since few updates, almost like now my internet is too weak to handle the fact i'm simply saving a clip, is it just than now if you don't have a really strong internet connection Medal is not suited for you? that kinda sucks because it use to make only a 1 sec lag spike which did not really disturb my gameplay mid game, now the lag is lasting like 30 seconds, very unhealthy because if you would like to clip mid round (in a game like Valorant for exemple) then you're just useless for your team during about 30 seconds because you have 300 ping lmao and you will just never win a duel with that ping. I tried to turn OFF what the Admin suggested but it didn't fix the issue for me personally

Could you try disabling Medal's overlay and see if this helps?
Go to Medal's Settings > Overlay > Overlay Settings > Enable Overlay and set it to OFF.
After doing this, restart the game(if you have one running) so the recorder can start properly.
