I have the following problem with Medal and OBS since the PC was updated from Win10 to Win11:
Audio/video recording programs, like medal for clipping and OBS for recording/streaming, do not record audio from PC. Mic but no problems.
Classic, like check if the input is correct, reinstall programs, restart pc. I've already done that
Just like manually updating sound cards, uninstalling them and having the system reinstall them with a restart.
I use Voicemeeter potato as an intermediate interface, which also recognizes everything. I can hear everything myself.
Funny white, Discord can do screen transmission and also transmits the PC audio, such as game sound and music.
Playing music in Teamspeak also works. So interface voicemeeter to use PC audio as mic input, that's no problem either.
However, I can neither create clips when something funny happens while playing, nor can I stream. Because all audio is not transmitted.

Since this is happening to other screen recorders and not only Medal, you might need to check if VoiceMeeter isn't blocking other app's access to your devices.
We also recommend checking if you are setting the correct audio device in the recorder. Try adding all the audio devices you use to the recorder and see if new recordings have audio.

i've been using this combination for a year now and never had any problems. it's only since the win 11 update that i've had the problem and i can't find the error and i don't know where i could set something to fix it. because i can hear everything myself and everything works as it should. just not the recording.
So everything is actually set correctly so that I can hear it.
How can another program block the recording? where can you set this? because this is the first time I've heard of this. it would be interesting to know how to change something or what exactly I should look for.
