What is Medal Premium?

You've asked, and we listened! We are so excited to announce the release of Medal Premium! Medal Premium is a subscription within Medal that will give you access to advanced features across all Medal platforms. What features you may ask? Well, let's have a look!

30 Minute Clip Upload Limit: Tired of only uploading 10-minute long clips? Not anymore! With our Gold Experience, you can now upload clips up to  30 minutes long! Removable Author Watermarks/Outros on your Clips: Adds the ability to easily remove both Author Watermarks, and Clip Outros from your clips! Priority Chat Support: Have any questions? With the Gold Experience, you can skip the line! Users who subscribe to Medal Premium will have higher priority and dedicated support agents to assist with any questions or issues you may have. Premium Presence: Want some bling for your profile? With Medal Premium, you can now upload a GIF to use as your profile picture! (Up to 2MB) Along with this, you will get a Golden profile banner, and golden clip cards when commenting on other people's clips! High Quality/Frame Rate Uploads: Upload your high-quality Clips in crispy 1440p (120 FPS) for everyone to enjoy! Medal Cloud: Automatically upload all your Clips instantly or after you are done gaming. Badges & Discord Roles: Enrolling in Medal premium will grant you our exclusive Founding Supporter Badge & Gold Subscriber Badge to display on your Medal profile! Along with this, you will also get a special role in our Discord server called Founding Supporter. Note: You keep the Founding Supporter Badge forever by subscribing at least one month. Upload Screen Recordings: Anyone can capture screen recordings, but you must be a premium user to upload them.

How do I sign up for Medal Premium?

You can sign up for Medal Premium on Desktop, Web, and Mobile Devices! You can follow the steps below to sign up for Medal Premium.

Desktop & Web

To sign up for Medal premium on the Medal Desktop app or Medal Website, you can click on the Try Premium button in the top left of the app.
You can also learn more about Premium or Sign up for Premium under Settings > Billing.
Upon clicking on the Get Premium button, it will lead you to the features list for Premium. You will find the Billing Frequency, you can choose to be billed monthly or at a discounted yearly rate. Once you have chosen your billing frequency, you can hit Upgrade to Gold and fill out the rest of the required information. Now all that's left to do is enjoy Medal Premium!

iOS

To sign up for Medal Premium on your iOS device, you will want to click on your profile picture in the top left, then select Medal Premium.
It will then bring you to the Medal Premium features page! Here, you can select the billing frequency of the Premium Membership. (Monthly vs. Yearly)
Fill out the rest of the required information and enjoy your Medal Premium subscription across all platforms!

Android

To sign up for Medal Premium on your Android device, you will want to click on your profile picture in the bottom right, then tap the Medal Premium icon on the top left.
It will then bring you to the Medal Premium features page! Here, you can select the billing frequency of the Premium Membership. (Monthly vs. Yearly)
Fill out the rest of the required information and enjoy your Medal Premium subscription across all platforms!

Can I test the new Premium features?

Of course! All Medal Gold subscriptions begin with a 14-day free trial. If you decide you don’t want to continue, simply click cancel from your settings page within the 14 days and you will not be charged. You can find the trial button under Settings > Billing.

After starting a trial, you will not be able to start another trial in the future.

Why was I charged for a trial?

When starting a trial, we issue a $0.99 test charge to make sure your payment method is valid. This transaction is refunded once completed. Create a Customer Support ticket if this charge doesn’t refund, or if you have other billing issues.

Why can't I start a trial?

You are only eligible for one trial per Medal account. If you haven't had a Premium trial before but are still having issues starting, please create a Customer Support ticket so we can take a look!

How can I cancel my Premium Subscription?

Desktop

You can cancel your subscription at any time. You can find the option to cancel your membership under Settings > Billing & Premium > Manage Subscription > Cancel Plan.

Mobile (iOS & Android)

For Android Cancellations and Refunds, please submit a Support Ticket here, including the Order Number from the Google Play email or Medal email. The order number will be in the format 'GPA.XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXX'

Due to some restrictions imposed by Apple, we are unable to manually manage our users' Subscriptions that were made using their payment method on the Mobile app.

So, to formally initiate a Cancellation Request when subscribing to Premium through Apple, you will need to start that request directly through their services app.
