How To Enable Hold To Record (Long Press to start Recording)
Hold-to-Record is a powerful feature on Medal that allows you to capture specific moments in your gameplay by simply holding down a key. This guide will walk you through the steps to enable this feature, ensuring you never miss a crucial moment in your gaming sessions.
Enable Hold-to-Record to start a full session recording by pressing and holding the clip hotkey (Default: F8) for more than one second. This feature is useful for recording segments where you anticipate important events, such as replay files, cut scenes, or the start of a new match. If you want to record specific parts of your game without ending your session, this option is perfect for you!

How It Works
To start recording, press and hold the clip hotkey (Default: F8) for more than one second. Medal will greet you with a "Recording started" message, and you will hear Medal's voice notifying you that your recording has begun. This recording can last as long as you desire during your gaming session.
To end the recording, press and hold the clip hotkey (Default: F8) again and the recording will stop at any point of interest during your gaming session.
Where are your Recorded Sessions Located?
You can find your session in your Library by filtering it to Full Sessions.
How To Enable Hold-to-Record
Settings Toggle
To toggle this option as a current Medal user, go to Settings > Clips & Recording and then switch on the option "Enable Hold To Record".
