Managing your clips on Medal is essential to keep your library organized and free up storage space. Here’s a comprehensive guide on how to free up space for your clips on Medal.

TABLE OF CONTENTS

Free up Space

You can find two places where you can manage this settings.

  1. Free Up Space in "After Upload" preferences in Medal's settings.
  2. Free Up Space in the Clip Library

After Upload preferences

The "Automatically Copy Links" feature makes sharing your clips a breeze. Once a clip finishes publishing, its share link is automatically copied to your clipboard. This saves you time and effort, allowing you to quickly share your content with others without the need for manual copying.

Free Up Space

The "Free Up Space" feature on Medal allows you to manage your local storage efficiently by deleting local files of your clips once they are uploaded to the cloud. This helps in saving valuable disk space on your device. You can always re-download your clips from the cloud whenever needed, ensuring that your important moments are never lost while keeping your storage usage in check.

Use Recycle Bin

The "Use Recycle Bin" option ensures that your deleted video files are sent to the recycle bin instead of being permanently deleted. This provides an extra layer of security by allowing you to recover any clips that may have been accidentally deleted, giving you peace of mind and preventing potential data loss.

Enable Author Watermark

The "Enable Author Watermark" feature guarantees that you are always recognized as the author of your clips. When this setting is enabled, your watermark is displayed on the clips, especially when they are shared on other platforms or downloaded by others. This helps in maintaining your ownership and attribution of the content you create.

Watermark Position

The "Watermark Position" setting allows you to choose the location where your watermark will be displayed on your clips. You can customize the position to ensure it aligns with your preferences, whether it's at the bottom left, top right, or any other position that suits your style and visibility requirements.

These features provide you with enhanced control over your clips, making it easier to share, manage storage, and ensure your content is properly attributed to you.
