TABLE OF CONTENTS

Don't miss a beat! This recorder app introduces convenient in-game overlay alerts, keeping you connected to your recording without disrupting gameplay.

Enabling Overlay

For starters, you can change how Medal's overlay will behave by going to Medal's Settings > Overlay > Overlay Settings > Enable Overlay and choosing one of the following:

  • On - Medal's overlay will be shown on every game.
  • Exclusive Fullscreen Only - The overlay will appear only when running games in Exclusive Fullscreen. This option will not work for Borderless Fullscreen games.
  • Windowed Only - Will work only on games running as Windowed or Borderless Windowed, also known as Borderless Fullscreen.
  • Off - Completely disable the overlay. You will not receive any chat, voice, or recording alerts with this disabled.

Overlay Alerts

After enabling the Overlay, you will see an alert showing what your Hotkeys are, and which game it is recording.

In that same corner, you will be able to see the app's Voice overlay and Chat Overlay.

Voice Overlay

When using Medal to voice-chat with your friends, the app will show you small bubbles of you and your friends to indicate you are chatting with people. This works for group chats as well!

Also, when someone is calling, you will receive an alert in Medal's overlay with the hotkeys for accepting or declining the call.

Chat Overlay

Just as with Voice Overlay, you will also receive a notification in the overlay for any messages you receive from your friends. This includes shared Clips and screenshots as well/
