What is the Community QA (CQA) Program?
The Community QA Program (CQA) is an 18+ community-driven initiative where selected Medal users help improve the platform by reporting bugs and completing structured testing tasks.
CQA members work closely with our team by identifying issues, reproducing bugs, and participating in specific testing assignments. In return, members can earn bounties based on the quality and impact of their contributions.
The goal of CQA is simple: find issues early, improve stability, and help make Medal better for everyone.
Who can join CQA?
To be eligible, you must:
Be at least 18 years old
Actively use Medal.tv
Have a good understanding of the platform’s features
Be able to clearly document and explain bugs
Be willing to follow testing instructions carefully
Because CQA involves structured testing and internal issue reporting, members are expected to communicate clearly and professionally.
What do CQA members do?
CQA members may participate in activities such as:
• Bug Reporting
Identifying, documenting, and submitting detailed bug reports, including reproduction steps, device information, and supporting evidence (screenshots or recordings when necessary).
• Task-Based Testing
Completing specific assignments provided by the team. These tasks may involve testing new features, stress testing workflows, or attempting to reproduce known issues.
• Validating other Reports
Confirm bug reports of other members and help finding reliable ways to reproduce the issue.
• Regression Testing
Verifying whether previously reported bugs have been properly fixed.
Are there rules or guidelines?
Yes. To keep CQA effective and fair, all members must follow program rules.
General Guidelines
Together with our Medal TV Community Standards, there are some more rules you have to follow:
- Provide accurate, honest, and detailed reports
Follow testing instructions exactly as given
Submit clear reproduction steps for every issue
Communicate respectfully with staff and other members
Stay active in the program
Low-effort, vague, or duplicate reports do not qualify for bounties.
Confidentiality Guidelines
CQA may involve access to internal builds or unreleased features. Members must:
Not share internal information outside designated channels
Not leak upcoming features or changes
Keep all test builds and discussions confidential
Failure to follow these rules may result in removal from the program.
What rewards can CQA members earn?
CQA is a bounty-based program.
Rewards may include:
• Bounties
Members can earn rewards for valid, high-quality bug reports and completed testing tasks. Bounties are typically based on severity, reproducibility, and overall impact.
• Badges and Achievements
Highly reliable testers may gain access to more advanced testing tasks over time.
Rewards are not guaranteed and depend entirely on report quality, contribution consistency, and program needs.
• Recognition
Consistently helpful members may receive recognition within the community.
How often will I receive tasks?
Task frequency depends on development cycles and current testing needs. Some periods may have multiple active assignments, while others may be quieter.
Active and reliable members are more likely to receive consistent opportunities.
Where does CQA take place?
CQA coordination takes place within Medal’s official community spaces, including designated channels for QA communication and task distribution on the Medal.tv EA Discord server.
Once accepted into the program, members will receive access to the appropriate channels and instructions.
Can I leave the program?
Yes. You may leave the program at any time by notifying the staff team or requesting role removal.
Members removed for rule violations may not be eligible to rejoin.
