Medal Community Programs Overview

Medal’s community plays a huge role in shaping the future of the platform. Beyond sharing clips and highlights, members can actively contribute to improving Medal through our official community programs.

Currently, we offer three programs:

  • Medal Research Group (MRG)

  • Community QA (CQA)

  • Translators Program

Each program focuses on a different way of contributing — from product feedback, to bug testing, to language localization.

Below is a breakdown of each program and how you can get involved.

Medal Research Group (MRG)

The Medal Research Group (MRG) is a community-driven feedback program where selected users help shape the future of Medal through direct product research.

MRG members participate in:

  • User interviews

  • Moderated and unmoderated user tests

  • Prototype and feature walkthroughs

  • Surveys

  • Early feature evaluations

Their feedback helps our Product, Design, and Engineering teams improve usability, performance, and overall user experience.

Who can join?

  • Adults aged 18+

  • Teens aged 14–17 (with signed parental consent)

  • Active Medal users willing to provide honest, constructive feedback

  • Users with a stable device capable of screen/audio recording (when required)

Rewards may include:

  • MRG Profile Badge

  • Medal Premium

  • Early access to select features

  • And other rewards

Participation varies depending on research needs.

(For full details, see the dedicated MRG article.)

Community QA (CQA)

The Community QA (CQA) Program is an 18+ structured testing initiative focused on bug reporting and stability improvements.

CQA members work closely with the team to:

  • Submit detailed bug reports

  • Reproduce reported issues

  • Complete task-based testing assignments

  • Perform regression testing

  • Validate other reports

The goal is to identify issues early and improve overall platform stability.

(For full rules and reward structure, see the dedicated CQA article.)

Discord Moderators Program

The Discord Moderators Program is focused on maintaining a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment within Medal’s official Discord community.

Moderators play a key role in fostering positive interactions, enforcing community guidelines, and supporting members across the server.

As a moderator, you may:

  • Monitor chats and ensure rules are followed

  • Assist users with questions and direct them to the right resources

  • De-escalate conflicts and handle reports

  • Support community events and discussions

  • Help maintain a friendly and inclusive atmosphere

Who can join?

  • Must be 18+ years old

We look for passionate and dedicated members who want to make a meaningful impact on the community and help keep it a positive space for everyone.
